About Tamara Sewell
Tamara Sewell is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, with over eight years of experience providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Converse College and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, where she specialized in working with military personnel and their families.
Tamara has extensive experience supporting children who have been involved in the foster care system, as well as those facing behavioral challenges, academic difficulties, and a variety of mental health concerns. She also works with adults navigating life transitions, health-related adjustments, relationship or family concerns, and the everyday stressors that can impact overall well-being.
Tamara takes a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy and strives to meet each client where they are in their journey. She integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, along with psychoeducational tools and activities designed to help clients build insight, develop practical coping skills, and strengthen their confidence in managing life’s challenges.

She believes that with the right support and guidance, individuals can develop the tools and resilience needed to navigate both present and future challenges while moving toward greater balance and well-being.
