Frequently Asked Questions
🌿 What can I expect from therapy at Mara’s Lighthouse Counseling Center?
At Mara’s Lighthouse Counseling Center, you’ll find a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, our dedicated team tailors each session to your unique needs.
We help you build practical tools, deepen self-understanding, and develop coping strategies that promote balance, healing, and growth — walking beside you every step of the way.
📅 How do I schedule an appointment?
All clients are seen by appointment only. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions at our two convenient Florida locations, with same-day and late-evening appointments available for your convenience.
To schedule, please call our office at (904) 990-8105 or use the “Schedule Now” link located at the bottom of this page.
🕰️ How often should I attend therapy?
Most clients benefit from weekly sessions, especially at the beginning of treatment when consistency supports meaningful progress and helps build a strong therapeutic relationship. Regular sessions provide the structure and momentum needed to work through challenges effectively.
As you move closer to your goals and enter the maintenance phase of care, your therapist may recommend reducing the frequency of sessions — for example, moving to biweekly or monthly appointments — to support ongoing growth and balance.
We understand that financial factors can play a role in how often you’re able to attend therapy. Our team is committed to working with you to find a schedule that’s both clinically appropriate and financially manageable. If cost or insurance coverage is a concern, we encourage you to discuss this with your therapist or our administrative team. We can explore options such as adjusted session frequency, financial assistance, or Superbills for reimbursement through your insurance provider.
At Mara’s Lighthouse, our goal is to make consistent, high-quality care accessible while respecting your personal and financial needs.
