ABOUT ME

I currently serve as the CEO of Mara’s Lighthouse Counseling Center, a premier Mental Health Group located in Jacksonville, FL. I am also the Unit Chair of the National Association of Social Workers Northeast Florida Unit.  I’m a Qualified Expert in Child Welfare, Certified Child Welfare Case Manager, and EMDR Therapist.  I’ve hosted retreats and support groups for adult women and provide clinical supervision to professionals in Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy seeking licensure. I am Licensed in Social Work in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina and South Carolina.

I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field and specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Sexual Abuse and children. I firmly believe that compassion and commitment are an integral part of clinical supervision. I am committed to helping clinicians develop their skills and abilities through a collaborative and supportive relationship.

Shamara focuses her energy on cultivating the Mara’s Lighthouse team and others through Supervision and training. Shamara will begin leading profession development and support groups in the near future.
