Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner-

Tameka Terry, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Tameka is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is also Dual Board Certified in Family Medicine. Currently, has a Master’s Degree in Nursing while graduating from Chamberlain University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Supervision and Management from FSCJ. She specializes in Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatry with a strong emphasis to provide quality psychiatric nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care while incorporating knowledge of a patient's age, development and culture into the plan of care.

She is a highly qualified nurse practitioner with more than ten years’ experience in a variety of settings including psychiatry. She is motivated, energetic, and passionate about patients, family, and community. Her approach to providing care is delivered based on the individual and what they need. She has an authentic style but it is flexible and tailored to the patient for outcome driven results. She is adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match shifting demands of different situations. She focuses on the complete person and understands that the person is more than an illness or diagnosis. She has a solid history of promoting and implementing positive change while delivering compassionate, expert, and comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients and families.
